St James Theatre

A great venue that caters to a wide range of functions. Te Papa also has many rooms and spaces for hire, so it’s worth looking into this iconic venue.

Westpactrust Stadium
Offering an exhaustive list of options you’ll really need to take a closer look at this impressive venue. It caters from the small 20-30 guests to the large 100-500 guests.
City Gallery
Offering a Foyer or Theatre option.
Conferences in the theatre or dinner out in the foyer it’s always a special event.
Memorial theatre Victoria University
A small sized theatre with a raked auditorium offering great views of the stage from just about anywhere.
There are in-house lighting and sound options with the venue. The ideal space for a small corporate event.
Embassy theatre
Main space capacity: 1749
New Zealands “grandest picture palace” offers a generous stage size with great bar and café options.
Old St Pauls
This well loved historical church offers a beautiful venue for weddings, complemented by a large garden outside where marquees can be erected for dining or cocktails.
Erskine
Chapel and Reception rooms
One of Wellingtons “best kept secrets” this stunning chapel is a fantastic space for a wedding or dinner. Clients often hold their wedding ceremony in the chapel and pop downstairs for dinner downstairs in the reception rooms, with a great garden just outside.
Duxton Ballroom
A large grand Ballroom that can hold up to 1000 guests, this can also be split into four spaces with dividers. A great venue for corporate or dinner and dance.
Wellesley
As well as being a boutique hotel the Wellesley has function rooms which can facilitate small parties and fine dining, it has a great restaurant on-site.
Intercontinental
This venue has a variety of function rooms used from dinner and dance to corporate events, offering many sizes to choose from.
Skyline
The Panorama room has to be the highest look-out over the city of Wellington with panoramic windows to absorb views of the nations capital. It also has a boardroom for smaller meetings or conferences.
There is also a good restaurant on-site.
The Foxglove
Featuring 1930’s vintage glamour and coupled with sweeping harbour views. Above the Foxlglove bar and restaurant is the Queens Wharf Ballroom, offering a great space for parties and dinner and dance.
Cocktail parties 250 people or add the Foxtail area to accomodate 350 people.
Seated self-service or a la carte dinner 150 people. *Minimum 80 people.
Dockside
A great venue on the harbour for fine dining and parties, it has three levels which can hold up to 500 guests and has a great feel for any event.
Wellington rowing club
With views over the harbour this venue is right on the water and can hold up to 100 guests.
